Baqarkhani is a thick, spiced flat bread that originated in old dhaka, Bangladesh cuisine and also made in Kashmir. It can be seen lining the walls of the tandoor oven. Bakarkhani is almost biscuit like in texture, with a hard crust. The chief ingredients are flour, semolina, sugar, molasses soaked in saffron, poppy or nigella seeds, salt, and ghee(clarified butter). Bakarkhani is part of Bangladeshi .
3. Taftaan
Taftaan is a leavened flour bread from Persian, Pakistani and Uttar Pradesh cuisines, baked in a clay oven. This bread is made with milk, yoghurt, and eggs It often flavoured with saffron and a small amount of cardamom powder, and may be decorated with seeds such as poppy seeds.
4. Warqi paratha
‘Warq’ means ‘Layer’ in English. So as the name suggests, Warqi paratha is a layered flaky flat bread that is popular in many parts of India and Pakistan. This multi layered paratha or warqi paratha is crisp from outside and soft from inside.
